POC LO!
Wow I guess I haven't updated my blog for a really long time now.
Not much has happened in the army since the last time I updated. Just mainly a 10KM roadmarch and our POC (Passing out ceremony).
10KM roadmarch was quite tiring although not quite as tiring as I expected myself to get. We ran out of army songs to sing on the way so we started singing Lady Gaga's Bad Romance. Imagine a bunch of sweaty guys in full gear plus rifle going: "OOooOooOoooOo... Caught in a bad romance!~" Haha uber gay and funny. We also sang Jason Mraz's I'm Yours.
POC was a simple 20 minute event dragged to 1-2 hours by the oh-so-inefficient-as-usual-SAF. We had to rehearse for the stupid event for the OC. After that, we didn't even get lunch. After our pathetic breakfast, and by the end of the stupid ceremony, most of us were hungry. It was almost like they asked us to fuck off. The sergeants did ask us to fuck off from Tekong though HAHAHA.
I bought a guitar. It's a TGM O-2 in black costing $75 and I got it with a guitar bag ($15) and a electronic tuner ($13). My dad gave me $100 and I paid $3 myself. I'm currently trying to learn the guitar online by myself. And as I'm typing this post, I can feel on my left hand (fretting hand) fingers, where the strings used to be 2-3 hours ago while I was practicing.

Progress so far is very slow. I've been slowed down by my sore fingers. So far learnt the D A and E chord. Many more chords to learn and practice changing in between these chords. Tried to play the song "Disenchanted" by "My Chemical Romance" as it is a fairly simple tune at the verses. Got it after 1-2 hours of practice (VERY LONG TIME I KNOW! I suck at music!) with the timing very off as I stumble with the fretting (pressing of the strings on different notes).
Hope to play my first full song by 3 months later! That is the target I set for myself!
